Meet Those Behind The Picture

Miraan Rai

Miraan Rai, a young coder, is nothing less than a child prodigy. He has developed 8 android applications and 1 iOS application, all of which are backed with his strong command over coding. Out of these 8 apps, Go Kings and Braille are the most popular ones so far. Go Kings is an application that enables school children to carpool with utmost ease and also fosters environment friendliness. This app has also been developed with an aim to help parents grappling to balance both their personal and professional lives. Another app by Miraan that has gained much recognition is Braille, which was developed while keeping in mind the problems faced by those with reduced or impaired vision. Braille provides tests on multiplication, addition, division, and subtraction for the visually impaired and aids in the improvement of their mathematical aptitude. Once opened, the app gives out step by step instructions as to what is to be done through audio and therefore, needs no reading or typing from the user. With already 8,960 views and about 400 downloads, Miraan hopes that this app will make a difference to the blind and visually impaired across all age groups. This child coder is much ahead of others of his age and boasts far-fetched thinking when it comes to programming. He has a strong hold over various programming languages including HTML, Java, XML, Python, C, C++, CSS and Swift. Despite having a very strong app developing background, Miraan is also proficient when it comes to robotics. Some of his projects include the AM Dustbin, a self-moving toy car and a LED controller. Miraan uses languages such as C and C++ to create these projects using the Arduino chip. Apart from numerous personal achievements as a coder, Miraan has won many awards at his school – Kings’ Al Barsha Dubai –  including ‘Best Coder of the Year’. He has also participated in the Lego League in the year 2018 and represented his school in the secondary Lego League team in 2019-20, in spite of being a primary school student. He also won the ambitious coder award in year 7. For Miraan, coding is his primary Language of expression.

Arjit Nanda

Arjit Nanda was born into a middle-class family and had a creative streak in him since his childhood; he used to break all his toys to make new ones out of the broken pieces, with a marble track or even a new remote controlled car being just some examples. The age of 12, when he got his first PC, was a turning point in his life. Simultaneously, he started developing much interest in making digital designs. He pursued his career in Mechanical Engineering in IP University, Delhi where he successfully built many objects like RC cars, hovercraft, line follower robot etc. At 19, an opportunity to make some money in a long-term business in Direct Selling came his way. Having gained almost400 distributors in just three years, Arjit learnt much through network marketing, including the way businesses run, how to interact and market products, and how to serve clients.  With design and creativity already being his USPs, he knew he would not be able to make new products with limited resources. He, therefore, decided to start a digital firm named TEMZ. Now his team and he serve over 50 companies and continue to expand at a rapid pace. Simultaneously, he continues to pursue his childhood passion of making new things and with an experience of almost a decade in robotics, he has built a number of projects like an automatic door lock, voice recognition robot etc.
